Hello all:

My current glasses are telling me it's about time to get my eyes checked again.

I've been to an optometrist once in the time I've been here, but it felt like walking into a museum and I needed an interpreter. I don't care to go back to that one.

Does anyone know of an English speaking optometrist with up to date gear in the city? Preferably one in the centre and one who accepts OZP health insurance.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for that bridboy:

I was just there this morning.

The optometrist is quite nice, professional, and competent but her English is quite limited.

Between her limited English and my limited Czech, we got ourselves through a standard eye exam. However, I would certainly return with a Czech to interpret for me if I wanted anything more advanced than that.

I have no troubles recommending her, but if you speak no Czech you'll want a Czech to go with you for sure, her English alone probably won't cut it.

I haven't used them personally but the Eifell Optic at the bottom of Masarykova near McDonalds claim to have an English speaking optometrist and I think even advertise this in the window ( in small print Smile )
