Hi all ,my name is Gary and i live in the czech countryside with my wife and young son near the lovely moravian town of Znojmo (1 hour from Brno). i have a music room set up with all the equipment and it would be nice to meet some fellow musicians who would be interested in making some music.looking for guitarists ,female singer who maybe can play keyboard but i'm happy to meet any musicians .we come to Brno every few weeks for a walk around and a curry so hope to meet a few of you soon.

unfortunately most who replied to this thread have found that work and other things have got in the way of making music so still looking for guitarist etc ..anyone out there ?

musicians saturday pizzan meeting..

hi all who have contributed to this thread,how about pizzan for pizza and chat tomorrow (saturday )12lunchtime..see you all there (post here to confirm would be good ) for identification purposes ,i have quite long hair and will be wearing an orange hat and light beige trousers.

google maps are wrong /confusing and giving different addresses unless there is more than 1 .anyway meeting is at pizzan ,frantiskanska which is behind the grand hotel ,2 mins walk from main bus coach station..phone number 542210115..

Bass players

Anyone play bass? I currently play in a cover band, but would to start up another project and do originals. I have about 10-15 songs written already, plus loads of lyrics.

Calling myself a musician is stretching it a little, but I've sung and played bass in bands and used to write songs. Been here for years and never found an opportunity to jam.

Currently don't have an instrument or amp in CZ but will gladly fix that!

I live almost in the centre and am available pretty much any time.

hi dan ,well you were a musician before so you can be one again .i used to be fairly good but then didn't do it for years and now i am getting into it again and am picking it up faster than a beginner.
so if you wanna join us for a chat and pizza at pizzan on saturday you are welcome (i have a lovely bass that i bought but never played so you can have a go on that )but i dont have a bass amp..its about the only thing i dont have ..

Hi there,

I wouldn't call myself a musician - but let's just say that I did learn how to hold drum sticks and for a period of time I was making use of this skill mainly for fun and to relax. I'm always happy to listen to people jaming though. Been staying in Brno for almost a year now and live pretty much in the down town Brno. I'm having some tentative plans for Sat which will be confirmed (or not) later this week. If I end up staying in Brno I would be glad to join you on Sat if that is ok with you. Sorry for not being in touch for so long(Gary) but it´s been quite hectic in the past few days. Finally I have already settled down in Brno(got a job, a flat, blah...blah) but due to this coming season I´ll be a bit busy visitying my in-laws. However, I guess that after Christmas we can all catch up, meet each other and hopefuly play a few tunes. That would be great.

Hi Gary, Alex,

My name is Dee and I'm moving from Ireland to Brno at the beginning of January to work and live. I was hoping to meet some musicians also! I have been playing the guitar for years now and done some gigs both in Ireland and abroad, primarily singing and playing solo. Unfortunately I don't play the keyboard but my voice is 110% female Smile. Anyway, if you are both interested in meeting up for a pint when I get over there that'd be great.
