Methodology:

Here it is just what we've all been waiting for..... only problem is the venue. Much as I like the birthplace of Sir Jimmy Saville and those lovable Loiners ( people from Leeds don't you know ) "String of beads" is a bit far for a daytrip.

Seriously Leeds is one of Brno's twin cities and a lot is done every year to maintain and improve relations.

The CEBN is an organisation which has the aim of developing business links between the UK and Central and Eastern Europe.

I'll look into the various links and see if there's anything useful for Brno based Expats

The attached link is to the 2008 edition English language edition of the "Survival Kit" prepared for foreign investors in the Brno area. It is a joint project of several local, regional and state authorities.

It contains detailed information on all aspects of setting up and running a business in South Moravia. It also contains a number of links to useful websites with further information.

I just had a closer look at the "Survival Kit" and there is some really good stuff in it. Chapter IX is particularly good on general living in Brno. It is also available in printed form on request. The 2009 edition is in preparation for publication later in the year.

I am investigating lunch vouchers for my employer. They seem ubiquitous here but are a foreign concept to me. Does anyone know much about them, whether they are tax advantageous, a problem to administer etc...?? Pros and Cons of offering them?
