| Napoleon's birthday! |
| This weekend 14-16th August the chateau in Slavkov is celebrating the 240th anniversary of Napoleon Bonaparte's birth. There are a variety of events (see www.zamek-slavkov.cz) but the main attraction is on Saturday in the chateau's beautiful park where there will be military re-enactments of Napoleon's greatest victories complete with period costumes, weapons etc. There will also be guided tours of the chateau and a big fireworks display on Saturday evening. |
